In the movie Strange Wilderness, Peter Gaulke inherits his late father's TV show called Strange Wilderness, which focuses on wildlife. However, when the ratings of the show plummet and it gets canceled, Peter is determined to save it. The studio head gives them two weeks to turn things around.
To revive the show, Peter embarks on a challenging journey. An old friend brings them a story about the legendary creature Bigfoot in Ecuador, which they believe could be their ticket to success. Peter and his team set off on a road trip, encountering various problems, misjudgments, and even deaths along the way.
As they progress, they face tough competition from a more experienced group with better funding. The race to find Bigfoot becomes more intense as both teams strive to capture the creature on tape and save their respective shows.
