Baskets (2016–2019) is a heartwarming and hilarious TV series that follows the journey of Chip Baskets as he strives to achieve his dream of becoming a professional clown. After facing a setback at a renowned French clowning college, Chip refuses to give up on his aspirations and returns to his hometown in Bakersfield, California.
Finding it hard to make ends meet, Chip takes a job at a rodeo as a rodeo clown, which is far from his desired career path. Despite the challenges, Chip uses his unique sense of humor to bring joy and laughter to both children and adults attending the rodeo.
Chip's life takes an unexpected turn when he reconnects with his former high school sweetheart, Penelope, who now works at a local insurance company. Their rekindled friendship adds a touch of romance to Chip's already complicated life.
