Details
Set in a mental institution, the story revolves around Dr. Malcolm Sayer, a dedicated and compassionate neurologist played by Robin Williams. Dr. Sayer discovers a new experimental drug that shows promise in awakening the patients from their dormant state. With the approval of the hospital, he begins administering the drug to a select group of patients, including Leonard Lowe, portrayed by Robert De Niro.
