Chance is a modern-day noir thriller about a psychiatrist named Eldon Chance. At a crossroads in his life, Eldon is dealing with a failing marriage and a growing discontent with his professional work. His relationship with his intelligent teenage daughter is also strained. As a psychoanalyst, Eldon can easily assess people but struggles to actually help them.
Everything changes when he meets Jaclyn Blackstone, a mysterious and attractive woman with dark secrets and significant psychological issues. However, her immediate problem is her abusive ex-husband, Raymond, who is also a corrupt cop with powerful connections. Eldon falls for Jaclyn and becomes obsessed with helping her, but soon realizes he is in over his head.
Fortunately, Eldon receives unexpected assistance from a man named D. Although D is unhinged and disturbed, he is highly skilled, strategic, and loyal. He possesses extensive knowledge of tactics, weaponry, and hand-to-hand combat. D agrees to help Eldon navigate the dangerous situation he finds himself in with Jaclyn.
As Eldon delves deeper into Jaclyn's world, he encounters a web of deception, danger, and betrayal. He must rely on his newfound ally, D, to handle the escalating threats.
