In the 1980 comedy film Stir Crazy, directed by Sidney Poitier, two best friends find themselves in a heap of trouble when they are falsely accused of committing a crime. Harry Monroe, portrayed by Richard Pryor, and Skip Donahue, played by Gene Wilder, are set up by a mysterious woman and are unjustly sent to prison.
