After the encounter with the shark at Sea World, Sean Brody has returned to Amity. Here he has assumed his father's role, working for the police depar...tment, and is engaged to a young woman named Tiffany. His mother, Ellen, still lives in Amity as well. Mike Brody is now married to Carla and is researching conch snails with his partner, Jake, in the Bahamas. One night, while repairing a buoy in Amity harbor from the police boat, Sean is ambushed from below and killed by the Brodys' old enemy - a Great White Shark. After the funeral Ellen wants Mike to stay off the water, but he refuses and takes Ellen back to the Caribbean with him and his wife & daughter, Thea. Ellen starts trying to enjoy life again, meeting charming pilot Hoagie after having been a widow for some time. Mike & Jake encounter the Great White Shark on the water, and tag & track it for research. But the shark soon starts causing havoc, and comes after Thea on a banana boat ride! In Hajen: Hämnden (1987), the Brody family faces another terrifying encounter with a Great White Shark. After surviving a shark attack at Sea World, Sean Brody returns to his hometown of Amity and takes on his father's role as a police officer. He is engaged to Tiffany, a young woman from Amity, while his mother, Ellen, still resides in the town.

Meanwhile, Mike Brody, Sean's older brother, is now married to Carla and is conducting research on conch snails with his partner, Jake, in the Bahamas. Tragedy strikes when Sean is ambushed and killed by the same Great White Shark that has plagued the Brodys in the past.

Devastated by the loss of her son, Ellen urges Mike to stay away from the water. However, he refuses and decides to bring Ellen, as well as his wife and daughter, Thea, to the Caribbean with him. There, Ellen tries to find solace in her new life and forms a connection with a charismatic pilot named Hoagie.

As Mike and Jake continue their research, they encounter the deadly Great White Shark and decide to tag and track it. But soon, the shark begins to wreak havoc and targets Thea, placing her life in imminent danger during a banana boat ride.

Now, Ellen, Mike, Jake, and Hoagie must confront the shark on its own terms. As they fight for survival, they must overcome their fears and work together to defeat their formidable foe. The question remains: who will make it out alive?
