Rescue Dawn (2006) takes viewers back to 1965 during the Vietnam War. The film follows the thrilling story of Dieter Dengler, a German-American US Navy pilot. While on a classified mission bombing Laos, his propeller plane is hit and crashes deep in the unforgiving jungle.

Arrested by peasants, Dieter is soon captured and tortured by the Vietcong, landing him in a brutal prisoner camp.
