In the epic adventure film, Röde Orm och de långa skeppen (1964), the legendary tale of The Mother of Voices begins to circulate in the bustling marketplace. This great bell, crafted by monks ages ago, is said to be made of pure gold and towering over three times the size of a man. As rumors spread, they catch the attention of Aly Manush, a powerful Islamic ruler fixated on finding the elusive bell.
Rolfe, a Viking and a captivating storyteller, reveals the story to Aly Manush but claims ignorance regarding the bell's current location. Seizing the opportunity, Rolfe cleverly escapes and returns to his homeland with a plan to regain the King's favor. In order to make amends for his previous misdeeds, he must convince his father and brother to provide him with a ship and crew.
Rolfe, however, possesses secret knowledge of the bell's whereabouts, which could potentially grant him the redemption he seeks. Determined to fulfill his mission, he devises an audacious and daring plan to either secure another ship to replace the one he lost or steal the formidable Death Ship, which belongs to the king.
