Salminggenen

Salminggenen is a three-part documentary series that follows the life and athletic career of Bianca Salming, daughter of the legendary hockey player Börje Salming. The series begins in November 2021 and spans until September 2023, chronicling Bianca's journey to become the best in the world in track and field. However, her life takes a drastic turn when her father is diagnosed with ALS.

With the sudden absence of her strong and supportive father, Bianca is determined to understand his greatness and drive as a hockey player. She wants to learn from the qualities that made Börje Salming one of Sweden's most beloved sports personalities, as well as a cherished husband, brother, and father.

Throughout the series, viewers witness Bianca's struggle to cope with her father's illness and death, and her determination to move forward with her life and athletic career without him. The episodes include the last major interview that Börje Salming gave about his life, as well as a collection of personal photos and videos from the Salming family.

In addition to Bianca's story, the series also features insights from her closest family members, her coaches, and several well-known hockey players. Salminggenen is an intimate and deeply personal exploration of the Salming family, their bond, and their journey through adversity.
