In the movie Svartsjön (2016), young and ambitious Johan embarks on a mission to reopen the abandoned Black Lake ski resort, which has been closed for years due to a gruesome crime. Wanting to ensure its feasibility, he invites his friends to join him on a test trip to the resort. However, their plans take a terrifying turn when they are engulfed in a series of sinister events.
On their very first night at the resort, Johan's girlfriend, Hanne, is awoken by a disturbing noise emanating from the cellar. Despite their curiosity, the group is denied access by the landlord. As the story unfolds, they discover that a family was brutally strangled at the resort before its closure.
The group soon finds themselves experiencing horrifying nightmares of being strangled, waking up with bloodshot eyes. Fear and danger intensify, and Hanne becomes convinced that they are being targeted by supernatural forces. Trust becomes scarce, as the friends begin to question who among them can be trusted.
As the tension and suspense build, it becomes a race against time to uncover the truth and survive the supernatural forces that wish them ill. The fate of the group hangs in the balance as they navigate through the terrifying events at the haunted Black Lake ski resort.
