Details
In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, set more than a decade after the events of Terminator 2, John Connor lives as a drifter in order to avoid being hunted down by future Terminators. However, Skynet, the artificial intelligence system, sends a new and even more powerful Terminator called the T-X to eliminate him. In order to protect John, another CSM-101 Terminator is sent back in time.
Meanwhile, Skynet starts gaining control over civilian computer systems by disguising itself as a computer virus. John meets his future wife, Kate Brewster, whose father is a military general in charge of the computer systems. However, he is skeptical about linking Skynet to the military.
When the Skynet virus infects the military computers, it leaves the country vulnerable to attack and sets off a chain of events that could lead to a nuclear war. The outdated CSM-101 Terminator must now face off against the highly advanced T-X to prevent a dark future for humanity.
