Details

In this 1959-set comedy musical, Max Bialystock, a once-successful Broadway producer, finds himself in a slump where all of his shows flop on opening night. However, his luck begins to change when he meets the timid and neurotic accountant, Leo Bloom, who presents an outrageous idea to Max. Leo proposes that they raise more money than they need for a show and deliberately make it so terrible that it closes after just one performance. They would then be able to keep the excess cash for themselves. Max sees the potential in Leo's scheme and agrees to go along with it.

Together, Max and Leo produce a musical called Springtime for Hitler, written by an escaped Nazi named Franz Liebken. To ensure the show's failure, they hire the flamboyant Roger De Bris as the director and cast the eccentric Swedish bombshell, Ulla, as the lead actress. As opening night approaches, chaos ensues, and the duo faces unexpected challenges.

No accounting for taste, the movie is a hilarious journey filled with outrageous characters, catchy musical numbers, and unexpected twists. Will Max and Leo's plan go according to plan, or will their scheme backfire? Find out in this side-splitting comedy that offers a unique take on the world of Broadway.
