On a small island off the coast of Maine, a terrifying infestation begins to take hold. Lethal insects called jiggers invade the island, burrowing inside their victims and causing horrific deaths. As panic spreads, Dr. Ben Cahill, a local physician, finds himself facing a terrifying battle against the bugs and the skeptical residents who refuse to believe him.
