In the action-packed film Utmaningen (Bloodsport) (1988), Frank Dux's life has revolved around intense training with his mentor, Tanaka, to prepare him for the Kumite. This legendary martial arts tournament is known for its brutality, where competitors face serious injuries and even death. Despite being warned by his superiors in the army that he cannot participate due to their need for him, Frank is determined to join the Kumite.
