In the future, the Terran Confederation is engaged in battle with the Kilrathi Empire, a race of felinoid beings. The Kilrathi have managed to capture a NAVCOM unit containing vital information about the coordinates to Earth's hyperspace jump. With Earth under threat and Terran reinforcements due to arrive in two hours, it is up to the starfighter carrier TCS Tiger Claw to keep the Kilrathi occupied.
In Wing Commander, the crew of TCS Tiger Claw, led by Captain Jason Sansky, must come together and devise a plan to defend Earth from the Kilrathi invasion. The young fighter pilots, including hotshot Christopher Maverick Blair, must prove their worth and overcome personal obstacles while battling the highly advanced Kilrathi forces. As tensions rise and time runs out, the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.
